Facilitation Skills

Draw out the collective wisdom and commitment

facilitator

presense

You are the instrument! In addition to possessing advanced tools and techniques with competencies, facilitators need to be conscious of the behaviors they exhibit and the manner, style and image that they project. And that’s being.

core

competencies

Since facilitation is essentially a questioning function, it’s not an exaggeration to say that a facilitator is only as good as the questions they ask! Facilitators must be extremely skilled at asking the right question at the right time. And that’s art.

tools &

techniques

Instead of offering solutions, facilitators offer tools groups can use to develop their own answers. Facilitators guide groups through their discussions and reach their own conclusions with a variety of process techniques. And that’s science.

The ever-expanding sphere of facilitation is indicative of the transformation in how work gets done in organizations: less through controlling and directing, more through coordinating and collaborating. Meetings and more meetings seem to be the inescapable of working in today’s interconnected workplace. Meetings to share information, plan strategy, coordinate work efforts, solve problems and develop working relationships - all require a facilitator.

Our faculty team is qualified with their professional education on facilitation, as well as their passion, dedication and years of practition.

Our service team assists you on international facilitator certifications through ongoing support.

To make it easier for you to apply one of the above certifications, we’ll put you into a peer learning group to practice your core competencies required by IAF or INIFAC. You’ll receive feedback from each other after each of your demo practices until you have gained enough confidence for the “real thing”.

This workshop is extremely hands-on with extensive feedback from peers and coaching from certified facilitators on your performance as a facilitator throughout the 3 days.

Designed by CPF | Master Rhonda Tranks, this 4-day workshop is for anyone who needing to advance his/her facilitation career by applying the Holistic Framework for Facilitation.

Smooth and effective virtual sessions require an understanding of the unique challenges the online environment poses. Learn how to facilitate remote works at a distance.

Leaders can create a culture of bringing out the best of their people with the help of facilitative processes. First and foremost, leaders must trust their people as able and willing. By doing so, this will create a psychologically safe space for the staff to discuss the undiscussables.

The meeting facilitator primarily manages the process of the event, allowing those with the knowledge and expertise to concentrate on content. During a facilitation event we remain in an impartial, process mode.

I’ve developed a list of eight behaviors based on research and my more than thirty years of helping leaders and their teams improve their results. Each behavior makes a unique contribution and together they are more than the sum of their parts.
